Prostate Cancer Week
September 20-27, 1998
Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of death in men, second only to
heart disease. Prostate cancer has become the most diagnosed cancer in the U.S., with more
than 300,000 men diagnosed in 1996, while another 40,000 died from prostate cancer. As the
population ages, these numbers will increase every year.To increase public awareness about
this disease, the American Cancer Society has launched a "National Prostate Cancer
Week".
The American Cancer Society on Guam will host a Symposium
Saturday from 1pm to 3pm at Guam Memorial Hospital. For
