How to prevent Diabetes
There is no way to prevent Type I diabetes, but you can do
the following to prevent Type II diabetes:
Exercise regularly. Not only this can help you prevent
diabetes, but it can also help you manage it once it occurs
Keep your weight within acceptable limits (see Check your BMI)
If
you are 40 or older, and overweight, or if any member of your family has diabetes, get screened for diabetes every year.
