Stay Away from Listeria
Listeria is
a bacteria that can contaminate soft cheeses, undercooked poultry and hot dogs, and foods
purchased from deli counters. It can make you sick - as well as make your baby sick or die
if you are pregnant.
To prevent infection, follow these few tips :
Don't eat soft cheeses such as mexican-style quesos, feta, brie, Camembert or Roquefort
during pregnancy.
Look
for the label "pasteurized" on dairy products.
Eat
only thoroughly cooked meat, poultry or seafood.
Thoroughly reheat all meats purchased at deli counters, including cured meats like salami,
before eating them.
Wash
all fruits and vegetables with water.
