We care... about you.
At PMC, you will find a professional staff dedicated to
serving you and your family in a competent, courteous and cost-effective manner. Our total
care approach means we treat the whole patient.
A comprehensive examination during your first visit by your
primary care physician will establish a basis for subsequent medical treatment. From that
point on, even when your primary care physician is not available, you are guaranteed
continuous care.
We believe you are best served by seeing one of our primary
care providers. Our staff are certified in their area of specialty, whether it be in
family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics or OB/GYN and midwifery. Whenever
necessary, your primary care physician will refer you for consultation with a specialist.
We utilize a network of both on-island and off-island specialists. Our clinic located in
Tamuning makes PMC a convenient and logical choice for your medical care on Guam.

Walk-ins and same-day appointments
At PMC, we understand your time is valuable, so we make every
effort to accommodate you as soon as possible. For those illnesses and injuries needing
quick attention, we provide walk-in and same-day appointments. We will have a physician
specifically dedicated to manage walk-in patients, which means we will be able to take
care of you anytime we are open. By calling us as early as possible on the day of the
visit for the availability of a same day appointment, we hope to minimize your waiting
time when you come in.

Regular appointments
For routine medical care, it is best to make an appointment.
While we try to set medical appointments with the least amount of waiting, it sometimes
takes up to 2 or 3 weeks to see your primary physician due to previously scheduled
appointments. We suggest you arrive 15 minutes (patients previously seen in the clinic)
and 30 minutes (new patients) before your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes
late, it may be necessary to reschedule your visit.
Please let us know at least one day in advance if you cannot
make an appointment. Patients who miss appointments without advance notice will be charged
a $25 "no show" fee, and may also be accepted thereafter only on a walk-in
basis.

Health plan-covered services
To accommodate the needs and requests of our patients, we
accept a number of health plans, such as Nanbo, Calvo, Staywell, Multicover, Selectcare, MIP/Medicaid, and other carriers. While we are pleased to
provide this service to you, it is very difficult for us to keep track of all of the
individual requirements of the plans.
Each plan has different coverage, as well as restrictions
regarding the services that may be rendered, and, more importantly, where you should
obtain these services to take maximum advantage of your plan's benefits. Even within a
single health plan carrier, the plan it offers differ, depending on the coverage your
employer has negotiated.
Providing the highest quality of medical care for our
patients is our primary concern. We are more than willing to provide that care within your
insurance plan guidelines, whenever possible. You are responsible for knowing, at each
time of service, exactly what your plan guidelines are so we may prepare an accurate claim
for the services covered. Unfortunately, if you do not inform us of special requirements
defined by your plan and we order services that you need, such as lab work or
hospitalization, that are not covered, we have no choice but to bill you directly for
those charges. Payment for these services is your responsibility. With your cooperation
and our help, you should be able to receive all of the insurance benefits you are entitled
to, and we will be able to focus our efforts on your medical needs.

Payment for services
We ask that payment for insurance co-payments and medical
services not covered by your health plan is settled at the time of visit, unless other
reasonable arrangements have been made. Please have payments available to cover any
co-payment required by your health plan. You may also be seen by our physicians on a
self-pay basis, but you should be prepared to settle payment at the time of visit. We ask
that you make an initial deposit to cover insurance co-payment or anticipated cost of
service when you check-in.
For your convenience, we accept cash,
on-island checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and JCB credit
cards, and Pacific Express, MCB and Citibank debit cards. Patients
may be billed for any outstanding balances not paid by their insurance
and are due upon receipt. We will charge an additional $25 for
returned checks, exclusive of any fees assessed by a collection
